The District Level Development Authority (UDDA), Udham Singh Nagar was established in 2017 with the objective of planning and developing all the urban areas within the district. Prior to this, smaller authorities like the Rudrapur, Kichha, Bajpur, and Kashipur Development Authorities existed, which were subsequently merged into the UDDA US Nagar on November 13, 2017.
Jurisdiction and Area
Establishment Year: 2017 (merging previous smaller authorities).
Headquarters: Rudrapur.
Development Area Jurisdiction: The jurisdiction encompasses the entire district agglomeration, all Urban Local Bodies (Municipal Corporations, Councils, and Panchayats), and their surrounding Revenue Villages of Udham Singh Nagar District.
Tehsils Covered: The district includes Tehsils: Rudrapur, Kashipur, Kichha and Bajpur.

The District Level Development Authority, Udham Singh Nagar, envisions a future where the district’s identity as the “Food Bowl of Uttarakhand” and its industrial dynamism are harmonized with modern, sustainable urban planning to create a thriving and resilient community.
